This privacy policy applies to polygon-explorer.org and all its language versions (“we”, “us”, “the site”). The short version: we don't offer accounts, we don't use advertising or analytics trackers, and we don't store the queries you make in our tools. Some data is still processed when you visit a website, and we explain all of it below.
What we don't collect
There is no registration, login, newsletter or comment system on the site. We don't ask for your name, wallet address or any other personal details to use our tools. We don't set tracking or advertising cookies, and we don't use third-party analytics scripts. Fonts and scripts are served from our own domain rather than from external content networks.
We never ask for seed phrases, private keys or passwords, and our tools never ask you to connect a wallet for lookups. The optional “Add to wallet” buttons on the network settings page send a request to the wallet extension in your own browser; nothing passes through our servers.
How the live tools work
Our explorer, gas tracker, checkpoint and mempool tools are static pages. When you search for a transaction hash, address, block or token, your browser sends that request directly to third-party public data providers. We don't proxy, log or store these queries. The providers receive your query and, like any web service, your IP address and browser details. They process that data under their own privacy policies. The providers currently used are:

For the archived zkEVM network, the tool may also query a public zkEVM RPC endpoint. If you click links to PolygonScan, Blockscout, OKLink or other explorers, or use the Share buttons for Telegram, WhatsApp, X or email, you leave our site and that service's privacy policy applies. Shared links contain only the public transaction hash, address or block number you looked up.
The network you select is kept only in the page address (for example ?net=amoy), not in cookies or browser storage.
Hosting and server logs
The site is served by a hosting and content delivery provider. As with nearly every website, their servers automatically record technical request data: IP address, date and time, requested URL, referrer, browser user agent and response status. These logs are used to deliver the site, prevent abuse and fix errors. We don't combine them with other data or use them to identify visitors. Logs are kept for a limited period set by the provider and then deleted. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Email correspondence
If you email contact@polygon-explorer.org, we receive your email address, name if provided and the content of your message. We use it only to reply and to keep a record of corrections and business correspondence. We don't add you to any mailing list. We keep emails as long as needed for the conversation and our records, generally no longer than two years unless a longer period is legally required. Please don't send sensitive information such as keys or identity documents.
Your rights
If you're in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or another region with similar laws, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. Since we hold very little, requests usually concern email correspondence. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Children
The site isn't directed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect data from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our tools or providers change, for example if we switch a data source. The date at the top shows the latest version. Significant changes will be noted on this page.
